Two Arrested For Stabbing 15-Year-Old To Death
On Wednesday morning, August 31, police in the Eastern Cape arrested two suspects for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 15-year-old schoolboy.
Captain Gerda Swart of the South African Police Service (SAPS) said the incident happened around 7:45 a.m. in Kamesh.

Ferguson Volminck, 15, was walking down McCarthy Street on his way to school when he was approached by a group of people. He was stabbed in the chest with a knife, according to reports.
“Volminck’s father was informed about the incident and rushed his son to a local hospital for medical treatment, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries,” said Swart.

On the same day, detectives from the Kamesh police station apprehended two suspects, one of whom was a teenager.
At around 17:50, two men, ages 16 and 21, were arrested at their respective homes. The motive for the 15-year-murder old’s remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
