The police were called to a robbery at a transport company in Benoni, Ekurhuleni, on April 16. According to preliminary investigations, 14 armed men arrived in a sedan and three trucks and held the security guards at gunpoint.
The suspects then connected trailers loaded with copper. While the gang was still on the premises, police and private security guards arrived and intercepted them, resulting in a shoot-out and the arrest of the suspects.
