According to preliminary investigation, the vehicle identification number was also tampered with. “The white Isuzu pickup was recovered at Lebombo Port of Entry on Monday, 22 August 2022 at about 10:00. A 32-year-old Mozambican national allegedly produced false vehicle registration certificate,” he said.

“Police Vehicle Identification Unit (VIU) conducted a further investigation which identified the vehicle positively as being stolen from Ivory Park.”

He stated that the suspect was apprehended and that the vehicle he was driving, which was loaded with furniture, was confiscated. “The suspect is expected to appear at the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charge of possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle.
