Four Killed, Two Injured In Deadly Lenasia Shooting

Another shooting has occurred, this time in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.

According to police, a group of people were sitting around a fire on Saturday night when they were attacked. Three people were shot dead and two others were injured.

A fourth body was discovered in a different location. This is the latest in a string of shootings that have occurred in Gauteng this month. 16 people were shot dead last weekend at Mdlalose’s tavern in Nomzamo, Soweto.

At least 55 people have died in mass killings or shootings in various parts of the country over the last three weeks.

The first significant incident occurred late last month at the Enyobeni tavern in East London, where 21 teenagers were discovered dead. Recently, a Free State farmer discovered seven bodies of deceased farm workers outside his property, all of whom had been shot multiple times.
