Cape Town Six-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped By Six Suspects
On Wednesday morning, August 17, a six-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped by a group of unknown suspects in Kensington, Cape Town.
Colonel Andre Traut, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), said the incident happened on 4th Avenue in Kensington.

Traut stated that the circumstances surrounding the six-year-kidnapping old’s are being investigated. Six suspects are accused of kidnapping the boy and fleeing the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
“Due to the sensitive nature of our investigation, we will not be disclosing any further information regarding the incident at this premature stage,” said the Cape Town police spokesperson.

The victim’s name, according to reports, is Shanawaaz Asghar. He is a student in Grade R. Anyone with information that could help the police investigation is encouraged to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 08600-10111.
