Advocate Teffo Opens Defamation Case Against Malema, Kelly Khumalo And Her Lawyer
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer, Magdalene Moonsamy, have both been charged with defamation of character and crimen injuria, according to advocate Malesela Teffo.
Teffo told SurgeZic SA that the cases were opened on Tuesday at the Johannesburg Central and Brixton police stations. Malema mocked Teffo on social media, claiming that he was undermining the legal profession and was playful in court.

The EFF has also labeled Teffo as an opportunist who is exploiting the tragedy of the late Senzo Meyiwa to raise his own profile.
Teffo, who was representing four of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, stated that he could not provide any additional information at this time.

“I want to give the police an opportunity to continue with this matter as it is still under investigation. I confirm that the case against Mr Malema is at Johannesburg Police Station and Moonsamy and others at Brixton Police Station. The case was opened on Tuesday,” Teffo said.
